Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht will soon release another NFT collection, and he recently shared the details about the release.
Ulbricht Turns Paintings Into NFTs
Even though Ulbricht has no access to the internet, he created a series of paintings that he plans to turn into NFTs with Bitcoin-based certificates.
Ulbricht’s supporters recently tweeted about his new art collection called Growth. He plans to launch it on April 5, 2022, at the Bitcoin conference in Miami.
The bidding will then continue from the 6th to the 8th of April on Scarce.City platform. The collection will include four physical framed paintings that will also contain a certificate of authority verified by the Bitcoin network, plus one Bitcoin-tokenized digital animation.
This collection should serve as a fundraising and represent Ulbricht’s homage to the global Bitcoin community.
Scarce.City will leverage Bitcoin and Lightning-based platforms to support this launch and the auction. The team behind this auction claims no funds will go to Ross or his family. Instead, the collected money will be sent to FreeRossDAO, which is a unique decentralized trust fund dedicated to freeing Ross.
Ross Ulbricht’s first NFT collection held in December 2021 had the highest bid of $1 million.
