New iOS Update Includes More Gender-Neutral Siri Voice

The latest iOS update will allow users to unlock their smartphones while wearing a mask, but that’s not all. iPhone owners will also be surprised to see a pregnant man emoji and get a gender-neutral Siri voice assistant.

Apple’s New Update Uses Face ID To Unlock Phones

The latest iOS 15.4 version has been through beta testing and is finally ready for launch. This update will help users unlock their phones even while wearing a mask by using the Face ID feature. This feature will work on all iPhone 12 and newer devices.

This is a highly anticipated update that’s coming soon. Besides letting users unlock phones with their masks on, the latest update also brings 37 new emojis, including a pregnant man, a motorcycle tire, a slide, a disco ball, and a few others.

In addition to these new features, Siri assistant will get another voice recorded by a member of the LGBTQ+ community. The new voice is called Quinn. The Apple spokesperson noted that the company is happy to offer a more gender-neutral voice to its customers, allowing them to select the voice that will speak to them.

Once this rollout gets out, Americans who own an iPhone will have access to a total of five Siri voices.
