Phantom Wallet Brings Solana to Smartphones

Users need a new mobile-optimized platform to manage their NFTs and DeFi investments. Phantom Wallet is happy to contribute and expand its services to smartphone users.

Phantom Wallet Recently Hit a Million Users

Phantom Wallet has recently reached another milestone. Its desktop version of the software now has about one million users and counting.

Phantom Wallet also announced a mobile version of its Solana wallet at the Breakpoint conference.

Even though many exchanges already have decent mobile apps, the growing markets of NFTs and similar features require custodial wallets, like MetaMask.

Phantom already has a custodial wallet for desktop. Still, DeFi platforms remain limited to desktop tools. In addition, swapping SOL and SPL tokens can be challenging for websites that render poorly on mobile.

Brandon Willman, the co-founder and CEO of Phantom, stated that Phantom is working on expanding and matching the needs of its users. With this launch, Phantom allows users to use a solid mobile wallet at all times.

New and existing users can now mint NFTs, stake tokens, and more, all on their smartphones, without being tied to the desktop clients.

To do this, Phantom joined SolFlare, one of the native Solana wallets, as SolFlare already works well in the ecosystem and holds 22% of the total supply of SOL.
